Al-Barakani: The Riyadh agreement is a step towards a comprehensive peace in Yemen

Parliament speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani met the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".
The Speaker of Parliament discussed the efforts made to implement the Riyadh Agreement and the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to implement the agreement and achieve peace in Yemen, as the agreement represents a step on the path to a comprehensive peace.
Al-Barkani affirmed that Parliament supports all efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and just peace and supports the efforts of the UN envoy
During the meeting, the UN envoy reviewed the initiative presented to the Yemeni parties regarding the ceasefire, the humanitarian and economic aspect, and the comprehensive settlement, and the importance of proceeding with this urgently and quickly, in order to stop the suffering of the Yemeni people.
