Aden, Newsyemen:

The UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths presented to interim President Abd Rabbuh Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, during his meeting with him in Riyadh on Tuesday a draft of a comprehensive ceasefire between the legitimate government and the Houthi militia, and another draft agreement on humanitarian measures.

In a brief statement posted on his Twitter account after his meeting with Hadi, Griffiths said: "We discussed the draft joint declaration aimed at achieving a comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen, an agreement on humanitarian and economic measures and the resumption of the peace process."

At the end of the statement, the UN envoy appreciated the leadership's continued support for his efforts.

Griffiths did not disclose the contents of the two drafts, while Yemeni political sources had previously reported that the Houthi militia had reservations about several provisions of the armistice agreements and humanitarian measures.

According to these sources, the Houthi militia insists that it be accompanied by stopping the lifting and ending of what it calls "the siege and aggression" as well as refusing to reopen the Sanaa airport to operate domestic flights to the Yemeni airports operating in the legal areas (Aden and Sieyun) and stipulate that the opening of the airport be accompanied by the conduct of  International flights from and to Sana'a airport directly without passing through the legal areas.
