Taiz, Newsyemen, private:

An armed militia affiliated with the Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, stormed the Taiz power plant, in the Asifra neighborhood, in the city center, and looted the remaining equipment.

According to a document sent by the station's operating department to the security authorities in the city of Taiz, armed groups on board military crews stormed the Asifra station on June 30 and looted equipment from the station and transported it to an unknown destination.

Despite notifying the station management to the security committee loyal to the Brotherhood about the incident, it did not take any action, according to a source in the Asifra power station.

Brotherhood leaders in Taiz looted all government electricity generators in the city and used them in commercial electricity companies that sell kilowatts to citizens for 350 riyals.

It is noteworthy that the Asifra power station had 35 generators, each with a capacity of 2 megabytes, before it was taken over by the leaders of the Islah Party in the city of Taiz.
