The Emirates Red Crescent launches a wide cleaning campaign in Thu Bab

On Saturday, the UAE Red Crescent launched a massive clean-up campaign in conjunction with a spray campaign to eradicate disease-transmitting insects at the Thu Bab District Center in Taiz Governorate.

The campaign, which aims to lift tons of garbage and waste, lasts four days.

The Director General of Thu Bab Directorate, Muhammad Al Shaeri, thanked and appreciated the sisterly state of the United Arab Emirates and its humanitarian role in developing the districts of the West Coast.

He said, the campaign for cleaning and mist spraying is the second this year, starting with the district center, where the city will be cleared of the accumulated waste and garbage, which was the cause of many diseases.

For his part, Sultan Abu Zayed, the official of the hygiene campaign in the Emirati Red Crescent in the West Coast, explained that the Crescent is keen to implement hygiene campaigns in the districts of the West Coast to prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics among the people of the liberated areas.

He added that after the end of the hygiene campaign, the places of gathering stagnant water in which the mosquitoes that transmit diseases and fevers will be filled.
