The leader of the Southern Transitional Council, Hani bin Brik, accused the Muslim Brotherhood branch in Yemen of seeking to control Aden through his recent moves in the Hujariyah directorates in southern and western Taiz.

Ibn Brik said, tweeting: “The project has become clear to the Arab elite, a move by the brotherhood that races against time to control the Gulf of Aden, the Bab al-Mandab and the Horn of Africa.”

In the context, he pointed to the Brotherhood's rapid movement to drop the Al-Hujariyah and take control over Aden.

Ibn Brik also accused Qatar of being behind the attacks by the Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia.

He said in a series of tweets, that Houthi's continued bombing of civilians in Saudi cities is, in my view, a Qatari escalation, in fact, not just Iranian.

He added that Qatar is operating with two arms, Al Houthi and Al-Islah, accusing Islah of carrying out a plan to control the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab and the Horn of Africa.
