On Saturday, the Governor of Al-Hodeidah, Dr. Hassan Al-Tahir, laid the foundation stone for the “Mercy Residential City for the Displaced” in the city of Khokha, with the support of the Kuwaiti Mercy Society and the implementation of the Humanitarian Communication Foundation.

Governor Taher expressed his thanks to the leadership, government and people of Kuwait for their efforts and providing support and assistance to the Yemeni people, stressing that the city will ease the burdens on 200 families from the ten thousand families forced by the Houthi militia to flee their homes and villages due to its unjust and barbaric war.

For his part, Director General of Tawasul Human Development Foundation, Raed Ibrahim, said that the residential city consists of 200 housing units.

He added, that each unit consists of two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a hall, along with public facilities, a mosque, a public garden for children and water tanks for drinking.
