Taiz, Newsyemen, private:

At least one person was injured by foot fractures in a mine explosion left by the Houthi militia, at noon Sunday, in the Al-Quoz area of the Jabal Habashi District in the western Taiz Governorate.

A local source told Newsyemen that a four-wheel-drive vehicle was carrying passengers, with which the Houthi mine had exploded, while it was passing in that area.

It said, that the explosion caused a passenger's foot to be broken and the front of the car destroyed.

The Houthi militia took control of the Al-Quoz area and abandoned about 70 families in August 2017, before being expelled, leaving a number of landmines.

One woman died and about a dozen were injured in the explosion of mines and explosive devices planted by the Houthi militia in that rural area, west of Taiz Governorate, during the post-liberation period.
