Hodeidah / Mocha, Newsyemen:

Houthi militias fired artillery shells from the middle of the residential neighborhoods east of the city of Hodeidah on Saturday evening, while the joint forces responded to an attack in kilo 16, and the militias inflicted heavy losses in equipment and lives.

Local and field sources confirmed that active Houthi militia artillery was firing shells heavily from inside the residential neighborhoods, where they are stationed in schools, health facilities, and vital facilities.

A military source in the joint forces said that the units of the first brigade giants responded to an attack carried out by the Houthi militia at dawn on 16 km.

The source confirmed that a number of militia members were killed and others were injured during the violent confrontations of the first brigade giants, while the rest of them escaped towards their dens, leaving the bodies of their dead.

In another direction, the Houthi militia launched a campaign of arbitrary arrests of civilians in the village of Dhami, which belongs to the district of Hays, and prevented those who crossed at port from entering and leaving Hays.

Informed sources said south of Hays - south of Al Hodeidah governorate - that the Houthi militia launched two days ago a campaign of arrests among the citizens of Islah Dhami, which belongs to the Hays district, against the background of the killing of one of its supervisors.

The Houthi militia had previously closed the main outlet of the Saqam junction and prevented the transit from entering and exiting at one of its points south of the Hays district of Hodeidah after one of its supervisors was killed by the joint forces fire, in addition to mining large parts of the secondary roads.

In a related context, the joint forces thwarted, on Saturday, an infiltration attempt by the Houthi militia in the Hayes district, hours after the forces responded to the Houthi attack in kilo 16, east of the city of Hodeidah.

A military source in the joint forces said that the brigades of the 7 Giants stationed south of Hays have fought fierce battles with Houthi elements who tried to infiltrate the brigade's positions and resulted in a number of wounded militia.

The source added that the brigade members were able to surround the infiltrated Houthi elements and forced them to withdraw and retreat.

This is the second infiltration attempt in 24 hours, and within 72 hours the forces foiled and failed an attack and two infiltration attempts in Haiss.

Military sources told Newsyemen that the Houthi militias pushed infiltrators from their fighters near the sites of the seventh brigade giants stationed at the front lines in the Saqam Triangle in the district of Hays and confirmed the monitoring of the infiltration movements and engagement with various weapons and forcing them to retreat.
