Video- The Emirates Red Crescent distributes 40 tons of food aid to 1,370 families displaced in Al-Khokha

On Monday, the UAE Red Crescent distributed 40 tons of new food aid to 1,370 families in the Al Alili camp for internally displaced people, in Al-Khokha city, south of Hodeidah.

This aid provided by the United Arab Emirates is part of the aid targeting 8000 families, who lost their sources of income and property and fled from the city of Al-Hodeidah, Al-Durahimi, Hays, Al-Hawk, Al-Hali, Al-Ribsa, and other areas, for fear of the oppression of the Houthi militia.

The displaced families suffered from difficult economic conditions and in order to alleviate their suffering and improve their living and economic conditions, the Crescent Authority had a humanitarian stand across the humanitarian arm to provide them with the necessary food assistance within the framework of the support provided by the Emirates to assist the liberated areas in Yemen.

Food aid distributed by the Emirates Red Crescent has gained special importance for hundreds of poor and needy families in order to alleviate the suffering that has inherited extreme poverty, a bitter reality and an enormous burden on them, as a result of the interruption of livelihoods and livelihoods due to the aggravation of the conflict and living and humanitarian conditions.

The people extended their sincere thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its human arm, the Red Crescent Authority, for the efforts made to alleviate the suffering and the qualitative support provided by the Crescent in the basic aspects related to the lives of citizens, including relief, infrastructure projects and specific initiatives.

This brings the number of food baskets, which were distributed during the week, to 2000 food baskets, equivalent to 85 tons.
