The Islah militia, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, stormed on Thursday a tourist complex in Shabwa Governorate, southeastern Yemen, according to witnesses and local sources.

The sources said that the Brotherhood's militia stormed the Qena Tourist Complex (Hesn Al-Ghurab) in Bir Ali area in the District of Radhum, noting that the complex was owned by an investor from the Shabwa governorate called Abu Bakr Saleh Fadaaq.

Eyewitnesses said that they saw military groups carrying elements of the Brotherhood's militia as they entered the compound by force of arms.

They added that the Muslim Brotherhood expelled the workers in the tourist complex and they stationed at the site near the port of Belhaf to export liquefied gas.

Qena Tourist Complex includes hotel buildings equipped with offices, rest houses, service facilities, electric generators, fuel tanks, water tanks and containers.

The sources pointed out that the investor Abu Bakr Saleh Fadaq adheres to his legal right to sue the de facto authority in Shabwa under the leadership of Governor Muhammad Saleh Adio by legal means, as the complex is licensed by the official authorities and legal contracts.
