Sanaa, Newsyemen:

Houthi militias have confiscated homes and commercial buildings owned by tribal sheikh Yasser Al-Awadi and his relatives in the capital Sanaa.

According to a document issued by the Criminal Court of First Instance, the homes and shops of Sheikh Yasser Al-Awadi and all his relatives located in Al-Safia district were confiscated.

The document shows that the Houthi militia took advantage of the property returns of the Al-Awadi family by renting them with new contracts, accusing Sheikh Yasser Al-Awadi of treason, aiding the enemy and committing crimes against the security of the state.

According to local residents, the Houthi militants expelled the residents of the Al-Awadi homes and replaced them with others loyal to the militia, and Houthi militias have built many shops for the purpose of renting and benefiting from their financial returns.

And the tribal sheikh, Yasser Al-Awadi, revealed, earlier this month, that the Houthi militia stormed and looted his house and the homes of his sisters in Sana'a and dozens of the homes of the Al-Awad tribe in Radman district, after they took control of the district last weekend.

Al-Awadi said, in a tweet on Twitter, "Houthis falsely tries to reassure people, in the regions they are going to, that the sanctuaries are protected to numb people," describing them as "liars and worst creation."

He added: I wished that they would be satisfied with my house and leave the homes of people and the homes of my sisters in Sana'a until now (24 June), 35 houses in Radman have been stormed and looted, and so they do on every land they go.

Radman District fell to the hands of the Houthi militia after 3 days of battles with the Al-Awad tribes and tribal groups from the Al-Bayda tribes and Marib responded to the call for tribal support launched by Sheikh Yasser Al-Awadi in retaliation for the martyr Jihad Al-Asbahi, who was killed inside her house by a military campaign launched by the Houthis in the Al-Tafa Directorate.
