A security source in the Al-Mahfed district in Abyan reported that the commander of the special forces in Al-Mahfed and his escort were killed by an armed ambush of terrorist elements.
The source said that an armed ambush of al-Qaeda operatives targeted a security crew carrying Abdullah Al-Hanashi and his personal companion in the Al-Haq area.
The source confirmed that the ambush resulted in the killing of the commander of the Special Forces, Abdullah al-Hanashi, and his companion, Samed al-Hanashi, and the burning of the kit while they were inside.
