On Tuesday, Ruaa Foundation for Development and Development organized an awareness session on mine risks in conflict areas in Al-Dhalea governorate.
The two-day course, with the support of Partners International, aimed to spread community awareness of the threat of mines and missiles in areas that have seen battles with Houthi militias.
Sumaya Al Junaid, head of Ruaa Foundation, confirmed that the session in which ten participants take part is the second initiative that it carries out in the field of awareness and education about the risks that mines pose to the lives of citizens and how to avoid and report them.
Al-Junaid said, we focused on this course on targeting members of civil society organizations and women and the participation of various marginalized groups in society, to train and qualify them to participate later in the implementation of awareness and educational campaigns on the dangers of mines in Al-Dhalea governorate.
