Radwan Al-Hashidi is released after half a month of detention

On Wednesday, journalist and photographer Radwan al-Hashidi, who was arrested at Seiyun Airport after his return from Cairo, was released.

Journalist Mohamed Maresh wrote on his Facebook page, "After 14 days traveling between the Political Security Prison in Seiyun and the Political Security Prison Marib, Radwan Al-Hashidi is free."

Al-Hashidi was arrested in Cairo about a month ago, on the grounds of malicious reports that led to his deportation by the Egyptian authorities without knowing the details.

He was again arrest while arriving at Seiyun Airport, where his relatives were surprised by his complete disappearance, after which it became clear that he was arrested by security agencies that follow the legitimacy and he was transferred to the Political Security Prison in the city of Marib.

Dozens of organizations, activists, and the media had moved during the detention period, calling on the concerned authorities to release Al-Hashidi and clarify the circumstances.

It is worth noting that Radwan Al-Hashidi had worked within the national resistance in Taiz, which was formed in the beginning to confront the Houthi terrorist militia before he left for Cairo for treatment after the conditions inside the city of Taiz worsened.
