The Popular Mobilization Militia, which is affiliated with the Qatari-backed Islah Party, raided the home of a displaced family while they were holding a wedding in the city of Al-Turbah, south of Taiz Governorate.

A local source said that the militia of the crowd stormed the home of Mohammed Al-Samawi during the family's wedding celebration of his brother's wedding, and declared weapons in the face of women and children.

It also looted the contents of the house, including precious jewelry.

The incident met with widespread societal and human rights condemnation and considered it grave violations against the displaced families who fled the Houthi aggression to the city of Al-Turbah after turning it into a safe haven for thousands of displaced people.
