Ibb, Newsyemen:

Influentials affiliated with the Houthi militia caused a suffocating bread crisis that started on Sunday, prompting the owners of the bakeries to close and declare a strike.

Citizens said that the problem is borne by the local authority, which is silent on many violations, the most important of which is the fact that the employees of the Bureau of Industry and Trade impose daily financial sums, which led to the exhaustion of bakery owners.

They added that there are attempts to work out an agreement between the Industry Office and the bakery owners in the presence of the head of what is called the "Community Committee", Dean Anwar al-Mutawakkil and the Director General of the Mishnah Directorate, Brigadier Ali Al-Badani.

Observers said that it is strange that such things happen only in the Ibb governorate, and that the community committee was created to carry out the tasks of the local authority, which is outside the scope of the law.

It is worth noting that these abuses come in the shadow of a suffocating crisis in the oil derivatives that the governorate is passing through, especially the owners of the furnaces.

On the other hand, citizens reported that the lawlessness of the militia in the governorate establishes corruption among the powerful among the influential people, which exceeds all considerations, as they are unable, through the royalties they impose daily, to repair a single street.

In the same context, there are reports that there is a cover up of corruption that reflects miserable failure, intentional neglect and a lack of responsibility towards the people of the province.

According to the citizens, this comes through Al-Udain Ibb Street and Al-Udeen City Street, which need urgent repairs and renovations.

In addition to a clear neglect of the internal streets and the entrances to the city from all sides, stressing that this is the responsibility of the local authority.
