A human rights activist revealed, on Monday, a potential health disaster facing about 37,000 children, who were given a polio vaccine that is about to expire in the liberated areas of Hodeidah Governorate.

The head of the Monitor for Rights and Freedoms Mujahid al-Qab, in a post on his Facebook page, said that the vaccine is considered damaged and that its expiration date is only 3 days left, while there are no freezers and bad storage operations.

He warned that the oral and polio vaccine is expired and will have an adverse effect, rather a potential collective catastrophe, against the children of Khokha - Hays - Al Tuhita - Al Durahimi and even Mandhar.

Al-Qab, General Manager of Al-Hodeidah Health, Dr. Ali Al-Ahdal, blamed the mass disaster for all children under the age of five who were covered by the polio campaign that was launched yesterday.
