Sanaa, Newsyemen, Exclusive:

The Houthi militia has reorganized its mobilization activities of sectarian dimensions, taking advantage of the state's apparatus and property and its capabilities to mobilize members of local communities to achieve political goals displaying under religious slogans, which perpetuate the division of Yemenis and expose their lives to the danger of the emerging Coronavirus.

Although the event called “State Day” can be considered a cultural belief of the group alone, the Houthi militia has obligated those who are presumed to be governors and provincial agents, directors of directorates, officials of local authorities, directors of executive offices, secretaries and members of local councils, neighborhood leaders, members of Parliament and Shura Council, and employees of the administrative apparatus and the public sector and mixed, to organize and attend activities that they call the remembrance of the State Day, and also obligated them to employ all official state agencies for these events.

Test the loyalty of opportunists

The Houthi militia, through these activities of sectarian dimensions, is trying to perpetuate its racist dynastic idea and its claims of its entitlement to rule and uniqueness of power.

The social and political researcher, Abdulaziz Nashwan, believes that the Houthi militia, with these activities, is trying to ensure that it continues to remain in power, and occupies it as a virtual authority, with nothing of its basic functions and duties, such as any virtual authority towards citizens and local communities in its areas of control.

Speaking to (Newsyemen ) Abdulaziz Nashwan believes that the Houthi militia needs such mobilization activities to test the loyalty of the opportunists working with it and purify them on the one hand, and to continue to prove their loyalty and dependence on Iran on the other hand, as it needs from time to time to say that it still has the initiative in controlling the street and the general public, at least in their areas of control.

Disregard for Yemeni lives

He also pointed out that such activities constitute a valuable opportunity for the supervisors of the Houthi militia to achieve profits and financial gains, by imposing royalties and financial levies on sellers and workers in the commercial sector, and selling the largest possible quantity of foodstuffs, which are collected with excessive opportunism under the banners of organization, preparation and processing For events.

The so-called state day gatherings reveal the alleged privatization of the Houthi militia and its disregard for the lives of the citizens in its areas of control, given that such gatherings are a fertile environment for the spread and expansion of the new Corona virus covid19, which continues to claim the lives of Yemenis in most governorates amid the militia’s concealment of the extent of the spread of the epidemic and the number of its victims.

Workers in the health sector in Sanaa warned that such gatherings would boost the spread of the epidemic and return the epidemiological situation to the peak of the outbreak.

Social distancing and wearing masks are among the most important teachings of the World Health Organization and the preventive measures followed in all countries of the world to besiege the Coronavirus pandemic and limit its spread.

Pictures of the Houthi militia’s activities in what was called State Day showed a close convergence between the participants and not wearing masks, which means the spread of the Corona virus easily through the spray of small droplets resulting from coughing, sneezing and screaming, or through physical contact such as a hand shake.

The Houthi militia gatherings come at a time when international warnings continue to spread about the rapid spread of the Corona virus in the country, in light of the challenges of lack of humanitarian aid, and a recent report of the Office of the United Nations Coordinator in Yemen indicated, "Corona continues to spread rapidly, as many people die with symptoms of the virus."

Corona death rate increased in Yemen

Earlier, the United Nations revealed that the death rate from the Coronavirus in Yemen has risen to 27% of the officially declared cases, considering this a cause for concern, since this rate is more than five times the global average for virus deaths, which is about 4%.

A recent medical study revealed that face masks and social distancing significantly reduce the chances of infection with the new Corona virus, and the study, which was described as the most comprehensive, indicated that social distancing can reduce the chance of infection with the new Corona virus that causes Covid-19 disease to less than 3 per cent.

The Houthi militia considered the new Corona virus, a systematic and intentional American act, targeting China and those it said were Islamic societies, in reference to the state of Iran, and the Houthi militia kept secret the size of the spread of the Coronavirus and the numbers of its victims, claiming that announcing the number of victims "raises terror and affects the world psychologically, "in clear violation of Yemeni law, which considers concealing this a crime punishable.
