Salafi Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajouri was wounded by a bullet in an assassination attempt in Ma'rib Governorate, today, Sunday.

Ayn al-Arab reported, according to his local sources, that a car full of armed men intercepted Al-Hajouri's car and fired at him, causing him a serious injury with two bullets, one in the chest and the other in the thigh.

Sheikh Al-Hajouri is considered one of the most prominent Salafi figures, and he succeeded the late Salafi Sheikh Moqbel Al-Wadaei in the management of the Dar Al-Hadith Institute in Damaj, and he currently runs Dar Al-Hadith in the Al-Jouba District, southwest of the city of Ma'rib, and was the first to confront Al-Houthi with weapons in Dammaj Saada 2013-2014 and after the directives of President Hadi to stop him and transfer His armed groups from Saada did not participate in any of the wars, and he remained on his way between Yemen and Saudi Arabia until he settled in the distant village in the southern outskirts of Marib last year.
