Aden, Newsyemen:

An international observatory concerned with human rights called on the Houthi militia to reveal the fate of a woman who had been forcibly disappeared over two years ago and subjected to violence and torture.

The Geneva-based Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a press release that Mrs. Khaleda Muhammad Al-Asbahi was kidnapped in May of the year two thousand and eighteen from a Sana'a street on her way back from the hospital with her grandson.

The observatory explained that women were subjected to health neglect, which it described as "dangerous", in the context of harsh and degrading living conditions, without taking into account their special health status.

He noted that other women detained with her were subjected to beatings, torture and verbal violence.

He pointed out that a number of local human rights institutions have documented about (770) cases of enforced disappearance, whose fate is still unknown to this day.
