Sana'a: Al-Houthi militia rewards Al-Thawra Hospital doctors by confiscating their dues

Dozens of medical and nursing staff at the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Sana’a, on Saturday, August 15th, carried out a protest to denounce the Houthi militia’s confiscation of their rights, including allowances for treating their families.

The protest vigil for Al-Thawra Hospital employees and doctors to stop the repeated deductions from their salaries and pay their financial dues.

The protesters, who organized the protest in front of the hospital gate, said that the militia leadership in the hospital stopped their dues eight months ago, including those of workers in the Corona isolation center, covid19.

The employees complained that they had been subjected to daily violations by the Houthi militia against them, and that they had received threats from the director of the hospital appointed by the Houthi militia, Abdul Latif Abu Talib.

According to the protesters, who spoke to (Newsyemen), the hospital administration has stopped paying employees 'dues for their families' treatment allowance.

A spokesman for the medical staff and nurses said: "While we were waiting for our reward for working in these circumstances, we were surprised by the confiscation of our legal dues."
