 The Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in coordination with the local authority and the health and agricultural offices, launched a fog spraying campaign to combat epidemics in the Mokha district of Taiz governorate.

Ansi Zaid, Secretary General of the District's Local Council, said during the inauguration that a scheduled plan for the campaign was implemented, which would be implemented by specialized teams over a period of ten days, and that it would include the city of Mokha and the various isolation and villages of the district.

Al-Ansi conveyed the greetings and thanks to the local authority and all Mocha people to the United Arab Emirates, which continues to assist the Yemeni people in all areas through its humanitarian arm represented by the Red Crescent Authority.

For his part, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sarraji, Sheikh of Sheikhs of Mokha, stressed the importance of the campaign, which comes in the context of the efforts made by the Emirates Red Crescent to combat and eliminate dengue fever and other fevers that have returned to spread with the rainy season.

He stressed the importance of the concerted efforts of all the competent authorities and citizens, to make the campaign a success in eliminating the vectors of fevers and reaching all infested sites throughout the district, so that the people enjoy a healthy environment free of mosquitoes and disease vectors.

In addition, Eiban Rizq, the official in hygiene and environmental health at the Red Crescent in the West Coast, said that the campaign comes in response to a distress call from the local authority, and aims to eliminate mosquitoes and insects that transmit epidemics.
