Seizing a damaged wheat shipment south of Hodeidah

On Wednesday, the security forces in the West Coast seized a damaged wheat shipment belonging to one of the operating organizations, in Hodeidah Governorate.

A source in the security media stated that the police of At-Tuhaita District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate, seized a truck carrying (387) sacks of semi-damaged wheat belonging to an organization, which was on its way to distribute them to the displaced in Al-Tuhaita District.

It explained that, after the investigation procedures, it was found that the quantities of wheat provided by the United Nations organizations were replaced by semi-damaged commercial quantities from the stores of a merchant, according to the directions of the organization's transport official.

It explained that after the security services received the report, they went immediately and arrested the persons involved in that crime and referred them for investigation, and the correct quantities of wheat were found in the aforementioned warehouses, and the seized truck with the quantities of damaged wheat was also seized to complete the legal procedures.
