Al-Hodeidah, Newsyemen, Exclusive:

The Houthi "death fields" have turned the life of the civilian population into hell in the regions of the West Coast, as mines lie in wait for civilians with every step they take when they leave their homes for some purpose.

Thousands of civilians of different age were killed, especially children, and others were injured, and their injuries represented the loss of limbs at times and permanent disabilities at other times.

The fisherman, Ahmed Saeed Akish, did not know, when he left his children and his wife, that his end would be in the accident of a mine explosion left over from the enemy of humanity and life, the terrorist Houthi militia.

Out of a sense of responsibility, the engineering teams of the joint forces intensified their relentless efforts in August, by removing and dismantling hundreds of mines and explosive devices planted by the terrorist Houthi militia, where tens of thousands of mines and explosive devices have been neutralized in recent years in separate areas and villages on the West Coast, most of which are populated.

The Giants' Media Center stated that on the morning of Friday, August 21, the engineering teams managed to remove and dismantle an explosive device planted by Houthi elements in Al-Jabaliya farms of the Tuhaita district, south of Hodeidah.

In the afternoon of the same day, the engineering teams in the Al-Durahimi district, west of Al-Hodeidah, conducted field surveys to find a field of 65 anti-armor mines that the militia had planted on a citizen's farm, and the engineering team was able to remove, dismantle and neutralize these anti-armor mines.

In mid-August, the engineering teams were operating at a high rate;  It descended to the east of the city of Hodeidah, and surveyed a large area planted by the Houthi militia with mines located between the Red Sea mills and the air defense camp, and the team was able to ably dismantle dozens of mines and explosive devices.

The torrents swept away a huge number of improvised explosive devices and mines of various types, including individual, internationally banned mines, which were planted by the Houthi militia in the city of Hayes, south of Hodeidah, and the torrents swept away those mines and bombs until they settled on the roads in the village of Beit Maghari, west of the city of Hays, which paralyzed the movement of citizens, and quickly the engineering team of the eleventh brigade giants went to the city of Hays, specifically the village of Beit Al-Maghari;  and they successfully dismantled mines and IEDs, and the engineering team went to the Mouzea area in Al Hamli District and dismantled mines and explosive devices that were swept away by torrents and were able to neutralize them, without any damage in both cases.

On August 19, citizen "Haki Zaini" summoned the engineering teams of the 11th Giants Brigade to help him take his belongings and his family.

The engineering teams went down to clear the road leading to the house and the farm surrounding the citizen’s house, and removed a number of Houthi militia’s remnants that they planted near citizens ’homes and roads before defeating them.

The Houthi militia's mines scattered in Hodeidah, and especially in the Tihama Plain, impeded farmers' access to agricultural land, and thousands of hectares of agricultural land turned into desert.

The Houthi tools of death continue to claim the lives of civilians and multiply their suffering.
