In the latest statement of the 35th Armored Brigade, issued late Saturday, it was revealed that the commander of the 22nd Mika Brigade, Waheeb Al-Houri, was the one who stood behind the torture of Aseel Al-Jabzi.

A researcher at Human Rights Watch, Afrah Nasser, has vowed to open an investigation and will work with all available means to punish the perpetrators.

Afrah said, in a tweet on her Twitter account, that the victim, Aseel Al-Jabzi, is a relative of one of her friends and sent her condolences, calling for an investigation and punishment for the perpetrators.

"An investigation must be carried out and the perpetrator punished, I personally will start the investigation with all available means, may God have mercy on Aseel and all the victims of the extremist, barbaric, criminal, reactionary religious forces," she stressed.

In turn, the human rights activist, Huda Al-Sarari, considered the crime to amount to war crimes, rather than the ugliness of its perpetrators, who should be classified under ISIS no matter what.

And she added, "They stormed the house of Colonel Abdulhakim Al-Jabzi, commander of the operations of the 35th Armored Brigade, and kidnapped his son Aseel and torture him before throwing his body on a secondary road."

Al-Sarari called on the official and judicial authorities in the Search Department, the Prosecution and the local authority in Taiz to investigate, uncover the perpetrators and punish them for this crime, which is condemned by all human values   and divine legislation.

As for the human rights activist, Akram Al-Shawafi, he said that the crime bears the hallmarks of ISIS and its organization, which has become official within the military formations and its members move under the legal cover under the banner of the army and security in Taiz.

He explained that the crime rises to war crimes and crimes against humanity, and all the perpetrators, their supporters and those who gave them the direct order to commit it must present the crime to justice immediately, and the international community must quickly form an international court specialized in war crimes in Yemen.

He added, "Aseel's execution is not the first, as it was preceded by the execution of Najib Hanash, and before them dozens of people in Taiz, who were liquidated by supposedly official agencies, which are crimes of extra-law and war crimes, and constitute a serious violation of international human rights law."

Activist Fatima al-Ghabri saw that the file of the Brotherhood war crimes in Yemen be opened, the latest of which was the execution of the original "Al-Islah militia in Taiz killing the son of the operations commander in the 35th Brigade Aseel Abdel Hakim Al-Jabzi. She added, "What happened is a criminal act that should be added to the file of war crimes in Yemen, and human rights defenders at home and abroad should strive to do so, this group, instead of standing against the militias, has turned into militias, but it is supported by legitimacy and the coalition."
