The city of Aden witnessed, on Tuesday morning, the launch of the activities of the Aden Youth Conference in Confronting Crises and Disasters, which continues during the period August 25-29, under the slogan: “Our goal is to save you.”
The Petra Hall at the Coral Hotel in Aden city, hosted the launching of the Aden Youth Conference in Confronting Crises and Disasters, in the presence of a number of government officials, leaders of the local authority and civil society activists in Aden.
The conference will be held under the patronage of the governor of the capital, Ahmed Lamlas, and with the participation of youth initiatives that participated in saving Aden from crises and disasters, in addition to civil society activists.
During the conference, a number of speeches were delivered, and started by the governor Lamlas with a speech from outside the governorate, through which he announced the inauguration of the youth conference, praising the role of the youth of Aden in crises and disasters and their contribution to saving the city during the crises it experienced.
The governor assured that he stood with the youth of Aden, so that the city may live and restore the smile to its sad loophole, noting that the youth of Aden have overcome difficulties and faced the most severe crises and calamities to prove to the world that Aden is sick but does not die.
The Undersecretary for Youth Affairs in Aden Governorate, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, Abdelraouf Al-Saqqaf, explained that the aim of holding the conference in these sensitive moments in Aden is to find a unified mechanism for the efforts of youth initiatives to confront crises and disasters during the next stage.
