The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has renewed a series of violations of the UN armistice, within the framework of its continuous escalation south of Hodeidah, targeting the homes of citizens and passers-by on public and secondary roads in the Hays district with automatic weapons.

According to local sources, the militia gunmen fired 14.5-caliber medium machine guns and 12.7-caliber weapons at the homes of the citizens in a deliberate manner.

Sources said that the Houthi militia members targeted citizens and farmers passing by in the streets of the Hays district with sniper weapons, in an attempt to cause civilian casualties.

The sources indicated that a state of fear and panic prevailed among the population, farmers and passers-by in the roads, as a result of targeting and sniping by the Houthi militia loyal to Iran.

Since the signing of the Stockholm Agreement in late 2018, the Houthi militia has continued to target residential neighborhoods in the liberated areas of Hodeidah on a daily
