Mutual artillery bombardment in 3 fighting axes in Abyan

The southern forces and Brotherhood militias exchanged artillery shelling in 3 fighting axes, a day after the Southern Transitional Council suspended consultations with the Yemeni government, due to the Brotherhood’s escalation on the ground.
Field sources told "Newsyemen" that the fronts of al-Tariya, Wadi Sala and Sheikh Salem witnessed an exchange of artillery shelling between the southern forces and the Brotherhood's militia, and confrontations that included medium weapons as well.
According to the spokesman for the Abyan axis, Muhammad al-Naqib, the clashes extended to more than one sector, as the southern forces responded to the sources of fire of the terrorist Brotherhood militia with an immediate response and with focused and precise strikes.
The fronts of the Abyan axis have witnessed over the past weeks a cautious calm with the presence of a Saudi committee to monitor the ceasefire other than the Brotherhood escalation, which caused the Southern Transitional Council to stop its consultations and respond on the ground to Brotherhood violations.
