Aden, Newsyemen:

Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, Speaker of Parliament, explained that the consultations on forming a new government have come a long way and that they are able to pull the country out of crises.

This came in a statement to the Saudi newspaper, Asharq Al-Awsat, in which he confirmed that they had completed 60% of the formation of the government, leaving nothing but the distribution of bags among the components, and that matters are proceeding according to what was stipulated in the "Riyadh Agreement."

In his statement, he praised the brothers in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi for speeding up the Riyadh Agreement, considering that the fruitful results that are achieved are thanks to their continuous support.

Al-Barakani relied in his speech on the clarifications that Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik provides from time to time before the Presidency of the Council of Representatives and the advisory body to President Hadi.

Perhaps the most important thing he mentioned about the results, which he said were fruitful, were the Prime Minister’s consultations and the shifting of the formation file.  Where the ministries and the features of the government program were merged, which represent the goals and principles.

Al-Barakani expressed his fear of repeating mistakes, both with regard to the parties and political components in the event that they did not respond to the correct and conscious translation of the Riyadh Agreement ... not to mention giving priority to quotas at the expense of the competencies government, and not empowering the prime minister to have full authority in appointing ..  He returned and expressed his optimism with the Prime Minister, stressing that he is able to continue saving the country, and that there is an absolute mandate that will result in a clearly defined program and an efficient government.

It is worth noting that Hadi had assigned Moein Abdul Malik to form the new government on July 29, in parallel with the appointment of a governor for the capital, Aden, and a director of security.

Al-Barakani stated that the good thing is that the prime minister understands the views of everyone from the political forces and components, and their observations, which is positive, he said.

He concluded his speech by saying that the ball is in the prime minister's court at the present time, as he has unparalleled support, and therefore he bears full responsibility in choosing his cabinet ministers, stressing the need to implement the military and security part of the Riyadh Agreement, and to provide security in the temporary capital, Aden.  Being the only hope for the return of all leaders and their work from there.
