Sanaa, Newsyemen:

The employees and doctors of the largest hospitals in the capital, Sana'a, are heading to escalate their protests against the Houthi militia, denouncing the confiscation of their financial dues and the suspension of their payment 8 months ago.

In this context, dozens of employees of Al-Thawra General Hospital in Sana'a demonstrated on Tuesday, August 25th, to protest against the hospital administration's confiscation of their financial dues, including the wages and entitlements of the teams working in the health isolation centers against the emerging Covid 19 disease.

The demonstration roamed a number of streets surrounding Al-Thawra General Hospital, from its main gate, and the demonstrators demanded that their dues be disbursed and what they described as the systematic looting of the hospital's revenues and the destruction of its assets.

Al-Thawra Hospital employees hinted at escalating their protests, which they described as legitimate, leading to a general strike, stopping hospital services and closing its doors to patients.

Dozens of medical and nursing staff at the Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Sana'a, on Saturday morning, August 15, carried out a protest to condemn the Houthi militia’s confiscation of their rights, including allowances for treating their families.

The protest vigil for Al-Thawra Hospital employees and doctors to stop repeated deductions from their salaries and disbursement of their financial dues.

A spokesman for the medical staff and nurses said: "While we were waiting for our reward for working in these circumstances, we were surprised by the confiscation of our legal dues."
