Al-Hodeidah, Newsyemen:

On Thursday, the Arab coalition naval forces announced that the Houthi plan to target navigation in the Red Sea had been thwarted.

In a statement published by Al-Arabiya TV, the coalition forces said that the coalition naval forces detected a marine mine in the south of the Red Sea, which the Houthi militia had randomly deployed to threaten navigation.

Dozens of fishermen were killed in the sea mines planted by the Houthi militia in the Red Sea, while fishing activities have stopped in many areas off the coast of Hodeidah.

A report by the UN Sanctions Committee on Yemen stated that the threat to maritime transport has increased significantly over the past years, due to the sea mines and the military activities carried out by the Houthis near international shipping lines.
