Government forces announced the capture of a member of the Al Qaeda terrorist organization, in mid-August, while he was fighting with the Houthi militia on one of the battlefronts east of Al-Hazm city in Al-Jawf governorate.

"Musa Nasser Ali Hassan Al-Melhani" (20 years old) revealed in a video clip published by the Media Center of the Armed Forces that he has been fighting in the ranks of the Houthi militia since 2017 after he arranged for the transfer of the Houthi leader, Hamza Al-Taj.

Musa Al-Melhani hails from the Misik area in the capital Sana'a, and before he participated in the fighting alongside the Houthi militia, he underwent a cycle of jihadist mobilization, and the militias usually set up them for anyone before pushing him to the battle fronts.

Al-Melhani mentioned that he joined the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda from a young age due to his poverty and the difficult living conditions of his family, pointing out that he dropped out of education when he was in the seventh grade.

He said that he knows many leaders and members of al-Qaeda in Sanaa and other areas under the control of the Houthi militia, some of whom work as supervisors and manage recruitment centers for the Houthis, including centers in and around Sanaa.

He added that some of them participate in the battle fronts alongside the Houthi militia, including a leader in the Al-Qaeda organization called “Yusef Al-Saafani,” who comes from the Saafan area in Sana’a, and many other people are al-Qaeda and ISIS organizations.

He stated that the leader "Al-Saffani", whom they call the "Zeer", was killed while he was fighting with the Houthi militia in the coastal battles of "Mocha".
