According to local sources, Brigadier General Saleh Al-Shajri, commander of the Amajed Brigade, was injured today, in an assassination operation targeting him by detonating an explosive device northeast of Mukairas district in Al-Bayda governorate.
A local source said that an explosive device exploded in a military vehicle carrying Brigadier General Saleh Al-Shajri, Commander of the Amajed Brigade, and Colonel Ahmed Al-Doumani, commander of a brigade battalion, while it was passing in the Sharjan area
He added that Brigadier-General Al-Shajri and Al-Doumani were injured in the blast, along with a number of their companions, and they were taken to the hospital, pointing out that the finger of blame was directed at the Houthi militia.
On Friday, forces from the Amajed Brigade, led by Brigadier General Saleh Al-Shajri, fought violent battles with the Houthi militia in areas and mountains in the Mukairas District, under the cover of artillery and missiles, causing losses among the Houthis.
