Marib, NewsYemen:

Brigadier General Murad Tareeq said that the Houthi militia focuses on certain tactics for managing the war with Murad tribes in the Ma'rib governorate, eastern Yemen.

He explained that the militia focuses on dispersing the effort by expanding the front line, because of its knowledge of the numerical difference in the fighters, pointing out that Al-Houthi "has human flocks that enable him to maintain momentum and compensate for losses."

Tareeq indicated that the Houthis had opened a battle front starting from the Rahba district, passing through Al-Katina, and then the Mahliya district, reaching the Harib Al-Jinnah district, and ending with the Al-Abdiya district.

He continued, "On a simple scale, we find a front that starts from the administrative borders of the Sana'a governorate and reaches the borders of Al-Jaribat and Shabwa governorate," considering that "this front is longer than the Arab forces fighting front in War 73."

The brigadier general suggested a way for the tribal forces and the army to station themselves in ruling points even if it costed the withdrawal to internal areas, because the war is long and needs wisdom and awareness away from calculations of stability in threatened areas and a thin line of loose defense arrangement.

Among the proposals are to mine large areas and protect them with sniper fire, even if that is an unwanted option, while maintaining a fast-response vehicle defense.

He stressed on supplying the fronts with new fighters, adding: "We have the possibility for that, whether with forces in Marib, such as the Shaddadi Brigade, or from Hadhramaut and the Special Security Forces."

He also called for preparing for more than one defense pattern, equipping it with engineering methods and barriers, not being satisfied with a single defensive line, and working to maintain the psychological balance and understanding of the plan for the fighters, if any deliberate retreat is implemented.
