Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

While it was satisfied with adopting a policy of discreetness on the victims of the epidemic, considering it an American industry, the Epidemic Control Committee in Sana'a discussed what it called "activating the precautionary aspects" in light of what it said were global expectations regarding an expected new wave of the spread of the emerging coronavirus, covid-19.

The committee headed by a figurehead Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, and run by the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - hinted at prescriptions to counter the Corona virus without revealing what the prescriptions were.

According to the Sabaa Agency, which is under the control of the Houthi militia, the committee meeting "touched on the scientific effort of the Ministry of Public Health and Population and specialized research and academic institutions to reach medical prescriptions that help the Yemeni people to confront the Coronavirus."

The Corona Committee in Sana'a went even further, recording its thanks "to the health sector with all its components and the various ministries and relevant authorities for the efforts made to confront Corona."

In parallel, the World Health Organization said on Friday that it does not expect large-scale vaccination campaigns against Covid-19 until mid-2021

At a press conference in Geneva, WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris said Friday that she does not expect large-scale vaccination campaigns against Covid-19 until mid-2021, as preparations accelerate for a vaccine distribution in the United States.

"As you know, a large number of experimental vaccines have now entered the third phase of trials. We know at least 6 to 9 experimental vaccines have already come a long way in the research stages," the spokeswoman added.

But in terms of a realistic schedule, she added, we don't really expect to see the vaccine given on a large scale until the middle of next year.
