Al-Hodeidah, NewsYemen:

In the past hours, the joint forces repelled an infiltration attempt by the Houthi militia, as part of its escalating violations of the ceasefire in the city of Hodeidah, in western Yemen.

The sources reported that the Iranian militia elements tried to infiltrate the strategic hilltop overlooking Al-Mandhar neighborhood and Hodeidah airport, and it failed and caused human losses in its ranks.

Sources confirmed that the units deployed from the joint forces to secure the densely populated Al-Mandhar neighborhood, located in the southern outskirts of Hodeidah, clashed with militia members before they approached the contact line and forced them to flee after a number of them were killed and wounded.

The sources stated that militia movements and their proliferation were carefully monitored, which made them lose the element of surprise and made it an easy hunt for the joint forces.

This is the second failed attempt by the Houthi militia to achieve a breakthrough towards Al-Mandhar district in 12 days, as part of an escalation that amounts to torpedoing the Stockholm Agreement.
