Seiyun, NewsYemen:

The numbers of displaced families reached about 2,556 in the city of Seiyun, coming from various areas under the control of the Houthi militia or those subject to constant Houthi bombing in the contact lines, according to an official statistics.

The Executive Unit for Displaced Persons in Seiyun, the capital of Hadhramaut, revealed that the displaced arrived after their homes were destroyed and their properties were looted by the terrorist Houthi militia in the governorates of northern Yemen, and they live in extreme psychological conditions due to their forced departure from their places of origin at gunpoint.

The majority of the displaced live in mud houses that are prone to collapse, in light of a significant increase in rental prices in the city, which has turned into the most important shelters for the displaced in Yemen.

According to the Executive Unit, the majority of the displaced do not have a financial source of income to ensure that they can provide food for their families and children.

And the latest statistic published by "NewsYemen" indicates the presence of 10 thousand and 571 individuals, male and female, and children, with an average of (1472) families as of May of 2019, who were displaced since April of 2016.

The wave of displacement to the capital of Wadi Hadhramaut has exerted great pressure on services, schools, health aspects and hospitals, in addition to the fluctuation of rental prices for hotels, residences, homes and apartments.
