The Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, received crushing and painful blows by the southern forces in Al-Dhalea governorate, after the militias launched a large-scale offensive to advance field progress in the Qataba district, north of the governorate.

A military source told "NewsYemen" that the violent and most dangerous clashes continued until dawn today, Saturday, and were fought by southern forces in the sectors of Bab Ghalaq - Habil Al Abdi - Al Fakher - Bab Othman and Habeel Al Mazarea.

Elements of the Houthi militia tried to infiltrate Shaab Nimrah with the aim of launching a blitzkrieg to bring down the areas of Qaflah and Ghusha, cut the asphalt line linking Al Fakher and the city of Qutaba, and took control of Shabab, Al Qaflah, Bab Al Muqarnah and Al Dari, and Shakhab heights, and then entered Al-Humr Al-Sada and the heights north of the city of Qutaba, taking advantage of the rainy weather and terrain.

According to the source, the joint forces succeeded in responding to the Houthi attack according to a plan that adopted detachments of ambushes, pincers and warning pens, which made the infiltrating Houthi groups a valuable catch for the joint heroes.

The joint forces' artillery also participated in demolishing the barracks and fortifications of the Houthi militia sites by bombing the center and the air, forcing the militia members to retreat and flee and inflict heavy losses on equipment and lives.
