Aden, NewsYemen:

The Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in the Marib Governorate recorded the displacement of 2,945 families from the governorates of Al-Jawf and Al-Bayda and the entrance to the Medghal district of the Ma'rib governorate, as a result of the confrontations taking place in those areas between the army and tribes on one side, and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm, on the other.

Violent confrontations between the Iranian arm and the army escalated on the western and southern fronts of Marib, with the escalation of indiscriminate shelling by the Houthi militia on residential villages.

A recent report issued by the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in Marib stated that the displaced were dispersed over the suburbs of the northern and southern city of Marib, and the districts of Medghal, Al-Wadi, Rahba, Sarawah and Raghwan, indicating that the challenges facing humanitarian work in Marib are increasing day by day due to the continuous influx of displaced persons.

The report reviewed the necessary needs of displaced camps, which include the provision of shelter, food, water, sanitation, medical clinics, and protection needs, which include income-generating projects, cash for food, psychological support, friendly and safe spaces for children and women, and cash assistance.

The report called on international humanitarian organizations and partners working in the province to redouble their efforts and quickly respond to cover these needs.
