Aden, NewsYemen:

The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works provided clean water for more than 136 areas suffering from water scarcity in various rural areas of Socotra Island.

This initiative comes as a continuation of the "Saqia Maa" campaign provided by the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation to provide clean and healthy water to the areas in need of the population, especially the countryside of Socotra, which suffers from drought due to the delayed seasonal rains.

The Foundation has drilled artesian wells in many different areas of Socotra and supported them with pumps, solar energy and clean water tanks, which contributes to serving the citizens in various remote areas on the island.

The Khalifa Foundation for Humanity runs fresh water tanks on a daily basis to the villages and areas of the Socotra Archipelago, which suffer from a lack of clean water.
