A tribal mediation succeeded in persuading two Murad tribes to renew a tribal peace, and to form a united front to confront the Houthi militia east of Mahliya district, south of Ma'rib.

A tribal source said that the Ghanim family and the Jinnah family, two tribes from Murad, signed the "Peace " agreement after tribal intermediary efforts from the districts of Ain and Harib and the leadership of Marib governorate.

Source added that the renewal of reconciliation between the two tribes came in view of the danger the region faces from the Houthi threat, pointing out that it comes after a previous reconciliation was broken on August 5, due to the killing of Manna Naji Saeed Al-Ghanimi in Souq Harib.

It pointed out that the two tribes have a major struggle role in confronting the Houthi militias, the only beneficiaries of the tribes' rupture, stressing that uniting the two tribes will change the course of the battle.

The "Al Ghanim" tribe responded in late June to a call by Sheikh Ghaleb Nasser Al-Ajda, Sheikh of Al Jinnah and one of the most prominent sheikhs of the Murad tribe, to the Ma'rib tribes to declare a general peace of tribal wars to defend the province from the Houthi forces arriving at its southern outskirts.

Al-Ghanim welcomed, in a statement issued by Sheikh Talib Ahmad Al-Dhafri, the Al-Jinnah tribe’s announcement of stopping the war, and affirmed dealing with what was stated in Sheikh Ghaleb Al-Ajda’s statement, positively and favoring the interest of Yemen and the Yemenis in general and the people of Marib Governorate in particular, against the blatant and continuous aggression by the Houthi militia. .
