Kuwait announced that it has donated $ 20 million to support humanitarian aid in Yemen.

The announcement of this contribution was made by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah during an international meeting on Yemen held by video link on the sidelines of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting was organized by Kuwait, Sweden, Britain and Germany, with the participation of four other members of the UN Security Council: the United States, Russia, China and France, in addition to the European Union.

According to diplomats, other countries pledged during the meeting to provide financial contributions to support humanitarian aid in Yemen, but the details of these pledges are not yet clear.

The official Kuwait News Agency "KUNA" quoted the Minister of Foreign Affairs as saying during the meeting that the State of Kuwait, following with great concern the difficult humanitarian conditions that the Yemeni brothers are going through, announces a contribution of $ 20 million for humanitarian aid from the available resources from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
