“Fighting slums and taking over public and private property, raising the level of hygiene, preserving the environment, and following up on the provision of all services to citizens.” These addresses were given by Ahmed Hamed Lamlas the Governor of Aden before the new directors of directorates who chaired their first meeting today.
Lamlas, who is also the Secretary General of the Transitional Council, promised directorates to "protect and support them."
He said in his speech to them: "We are the ones who summoned you to occupy these positions and you did not seek them, and therefore we are obligated to protect you, support you, stand by you and overcome all difficulties before you."
He added, "The director general of the directorate is the first man in the directorate, and he is the head of the security committee, and you should work on this basis.
Everyone is optimistic about you, but he warned them against being lethargic and said:" Do not fail the citizen who blessed your appointment and made hopes on you to solve his problems.
He stressed: You have great tasks and responsibilities and we feel the size of the accumulated problems facing you, but be assured that we are with you and all the citizens are with you and they will support your efforts, and you should coordinate with the security services in your directorates, and work to activate the supervisory offices.
