Washington is studying the inclusion of the Houthi militia on the list of terrorism

The "Washington Post" newspaper said that the US administration is studying steps to intensify pressure on the Houthi militia, in an attempt to increase Iran's isolation.
The newspaper added that President Donald Trump's administration is studying the classification of the Houthis as a terrorist group, and the consequent freezing of the militia's financial assets, which will make providing support to it illegal.
A US official told the newspaper that the administration is preparing for a legal and intelligence review to determine whether the group meets the criteria for designating a terrorist, or whether sanctions will be imposed on it.
