Aden, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The legal advisor to the Supreme Military Authority of the Army and Southern Security, Saeed Ali Al-Eisaei, confirmed that the sit-in, which is now entering its fourth month, in front of the headquarters of the Arab coalition in Buraiqa in the temporary capital, Aden, expresses human rights demands for the members of the military and security establishment who have suffered decades of marginalization, exclusion and deprivation.

He pointed out that ignoring those demands by the coalition and legitimacy will lead to dire results, stressing that the silence of the protesters will not be prolonged, and they have options available to extract their stolen rights.

The legal advisor to the Supreme Military Authority of the Army and Southern Security, in a brief interview with "Newsyemen", presents the conditions that the sit-in protesters live in by the side of the road and under the flames of the sun for successive months without any breakthrough for their demands .. So to the text of what it says:

⁃ What is the problem with the army and southern security?

The problem is exclusion, marginalization, demobilization, and denial of rights, salaries, promotions, settlements, compensation, and treatment, and many, and countless problems, most notably the destruction of military and security institutions and the elimination of military leaders and qualified cadres according to a systematic program of the system of successive governments that wants employees of the army and southern security to stay at home and confiscate their rights, covered by the law of service in military and security institutions and the law of pensions and rewards for the armed and security forces, which is ignored by the legitimate government at the present time.

⁃ How does legitimacy impede your demands?

Obstacles were accompanied from the beginning and the legitimate government stood in front of us as a stumbling block, and prevented any solutions to the demands that serve the interest of the army and southern security, as it is the party responsible for implementing laws and regulations, and it represents an obstacle to the implementation of the republican decisions and judicial rulings related to the rights, salaries and settlements of officers covered by these decisions, in addition to not adjusting the salaries of forcibly laid off persons according to the law .. Therefore, the government and the ministers concerned with following up on salary adjusting according to the laws are solely responsible for obstructing their implementation.

- What kind of your demands .. Do they fall under political blackmail?

Our demands are legitimate and mainly relate to our daily life and the peaceful sit-ins that have been carried out by members of the army and southern security under the leadership of the Supreme Military Authority since July 5 in front of the coalition headquarters in the Buraiqa district are purely human rights demands, which are limited to 15 paragraphs and are legally payable, including:

Paying all salaries for the months accumulated by the government represented by the Ministry of Finance from 2016 and 2017, as well as salaries from May 2020 until now for the protesters, the families of the martyrs and the wounded, the Southern Resistance, and the support brigades.

Implementing the republican decisions to adjust salaries, the judicial rulings in force for the 533 officers of the Ministry of Interior and Political Security, and other demands related to electricity, water, sanitation and infrastructure, which are essential demands for human life, which are responsible for providing them by the international coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the legitimate government in accordance with Article 7 of the Charter of Nations, and who interprets them as political, he does not know anything about the sit-in and its objectives.

⁃ Your followers say that you have failed in your methods of expression?

We are not infallible, and we have come a long way, and we are still at the beginning of the road.

We are steadfast until the end, and we have many future plans through which we can extract our rights, and until now we have not seen any breakthrough, but all are false dates, and the publication of news here and there that have no basis in truth.

- Your next options?

So far, more than 81 days have passed since our sit-in amid the heat of the sun, the winds, and the severity of the heat.

Nevertheless, the members of the army, security and leaders have been patient with all this suffering, and no one from the coalition or the legitimacy has ever noticed them .. Certainly, this trouble and fatigue will not last.

There will be upcoming options that will be announced by the leadership of the Supreme Military Authority, the most important of which is the distribution of tasks for the protesters and their transfer to other service sites with an impact to stop the arrogance of the legitimate government and the silence of the coalition, and it will be a message of another kind that reaches the ears of decision-makers who are deaf to our demands.

⁃ A final message to whom do you direct?

Our message to those concerned with our demands is that rights are extracted by force of laws, and no right is lost behind its demands and our silence will not last.
