The displacement of 24 thousand Yemeni families during 2020

The United Nations announced that about 24,000 families have been displaced in Yemen since the beginning of this year, as a result of the ongoing war for the sixth consecutive year.


The International Organization for Migration of the United Nations, through its mission in Yemen on Twitter, said that the organization's displacement tracking matrix monitored during the period from January to September of this year, the displacement of nearly 24,000 families in various parts of Yemen“.

It added, "We are currently supporting more than 13,000 families living in 55 displacement sites across the country through camp management teams and coordinating their activities."

And the United Nations announced last July that "more than 100,000 people in Yemen have been forced to flee because of the fighting and insecurity since January."

On November 21, 2019, the International Organization for Migration said that about 3.65 million Yemenis were internally displaced due to conflict and disasters.
