Government sources in Hadhramaut said, on Tuesday evening, that coordination and arrangement for the exchange of prisoners and detainees between the legitimate government and the Houthi militia is underway at the end of this week in the eastern province.

According to "Newsyemen" sources, the city of Seiyun will be the site of exchange for both parties, under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

It stated that the International Committee of the Red Cross is holding meetings with the security and military authorities in Hadramout to secure the safe and error-free transfer of prisoners from both sides.

The prisoners of the legitimate government’s army will arrive at Seiyun International Airport by a special plane from Sana’a airport, while the Houthi’s prisoners will arrive by land, and they will be transported by the same plane to transport the legitimate prisoners to Sana’a.

The source did not confirm that the exchange deal had been completed on the date specified in the Geneva Accord, but he indicated that the same date agreed upon between the two parties is the middle of this month.

The city of Seiyun, the center of Wadi Hadhramaut - the site of the exchange - has been witnessing for days, an intensive deployment of security men and the army, the creation of new military points from the Special Forces and Relief Forces of the General Security and forces from the First Military Region, and the intensive inspection of various vehicles and the possession of weapons for those without legal license.
