China: We understand the dangerous situation of the SAFER oil tank in Yemen

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed that his country will play a positive and constructive role in the UN Security Council to reach an appropriate formula regarding the floating of the "SAFER" oil tank off Hodeidah, west of Yemen.
In a written message addressed to the President of the Arab Parliament, Dr.Meshaal Al-Sulami, the Chinese Foreign Minister expressed the people's understanding of the People's Republic of China about the dangerous situation that the Safer oil tank had reached, according to what the state-owned Saba Agency reported on Tuesday.
The Chinese Foreign Minister’s message came in response to an urgent telegram sent by the President of the Arab Parliament on September 25, 2020, in which he warned of the danger of crude oil leakage, which would lead to the sinking or explosion of the floating reservoir and heralded an environmental, economic and humanitarian disaster whose effects go beyond the Republic of Yemen and pose a serious threat to environmental security and safety of the countries bordering the Red Sea.
Earlier, a source in the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, which is under the control of the Houthis in Sanaa, told "NewsYemen" that the militia sold the quantities of oil stored in the Safer cruise ship off Hodeidah, and collected the price.
