31 civilians were killed and wounded by Houthi fire in Hodeidah within 25 days

Medical sources revealed that 31 civilians were killed and wounded by Houthi militia fire, in Hodeidah Governorate, in less than a month, despite the truce sponsored by the United Nations.


The Media Center for the Giants Brigades quoted a medical source as saying that, since September 21 of last month and until October 16, hospitals in the liberated areas of the West Coast received (31) civilians, including (10) women and children, who were killed and injured with various types of weapons at the hands of the Houthi militia.

He explained that among the victims (26) civilians, including (3) children and (6) women, were wounded, some of them seriously, while the number of martyrs reached (5) civilians, including a child.

He indicated that the districts (Hays and Ad Duraihimi) led the largest share of the number of victims As the number reached (24) civilians, while the rest of the victims' cases were distributed to the At-Tuhayat district, Kilo 16 district, and Hodeidah.

It stressed that the civilian casualties varied between mortar shell shrapnel, MT 23 shrapnel, BMB shell shrapnel, sniper bullets, medium weapons and mines.

And medical sources had revealed (62) civilians were killed and (143) injured from the beginning of January of this year until the first half of last September.

It is noteworthy that human rights reports documented the killing and wounding of more than 2574 civilians by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm, in Yemen, since the fragile UN armistice was signed on December 18, 2018
