Shabwa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Two weeks after the Minister of Oil’s statements about the approaching date of exporting oil from the Marib fields through the port of Nashima in Shabwa, a media battle erupted between the leaderships of Shabwah and Hadhramaut governorates, the mainstay of which is “imported oil for local consumption”.

The governor of Shabwa began the battle, when he appeared on TV as if he was a member of the Islah party in Hadhramaut governorate directing his criticism of Governor Faraj Al-Bahsani and the governorate leadership.

One of his criticisms of the local authority in Hadhramaut was his accusation of the oil company in Hadhramaut of controlling Shabwa's share of oil derivatives, and the consequent problems of crises in sales stations for citizens and electricity cuts due to the depletion of fuel quantities.

After the statements of Governor Muhammad bin Adiou were published, the Director General of the Hadhramaut Oil Company appeared on the same screen that published the special dialogue of the Governor of Shabwah, and detonated a verbal “bomb”, revealing the agreements between the two branches of the oil company in Shabwa and in the coast of Hadhramaut, according to which Hadhramaut allowed Shabwah importing quantities larger than the predetermined number as needed from derivatives.

He was not satisfied with that. Rather, he said that in response to Ibn Adiou’s words that “the corrupt does not like candor,” he would “be frank,” revealing that “a private office on Sixteen Street in Mukalla sells through which the Shabwa Oil Company is allocated to the governorate before arriving in Shabwa.”

The statements sparked verbal battles in which "southern" activists from Hadhramaut and Shabwa lined up in the face of "the side of the Brotherhood and their loyalists and their allies," and the Brotherhood defends "Bin Adiou's statements."

Abd Rabbo Al-Awlaqi, one of the most prominent southern Shabwa activists on Facebook, was surprised by the campaign to defend Bin Adiou's statements, and wrote: “Abu Hadram came to the world with his files and said you are thieves and these are the records, and the language of numbers does not lie,”.

Muhammad Habtoor wrote, for his part, “It is funny and disgusting in the position of those who stand behind the authority of Shabwah and argue in defense of it.

The people of Shabwa are the victims of this corruption and tampering. So, stop being misleading and defaming Shabwani public opinion.

The attempt to push the name of Shabwa in the face of others will not pass. We are not herds of cows that they drive behind your nonsense, this clash is you who sought it.

In the name Shabwa you headed to the west, sending fighters and financing the fronts, and today they are creating battles of another kind with the east. This is a satanic scheme that aims to depose Shabwa from its southern surroundings.

For his part, Saeed Bakran, head of Dar Al Ma'arif for Research and Statistics in Mukalla criticized bin “Adiou and his brothers” allegations of their defense of the governorate “Shabwa” and he said: “One of the major lies that Bin Adiou propagates is his display of what happened in Shabwa at the hands of the group’s militia, that he defeated the Emirates and appeared as the hero who liberated Shabwah.”

Noting that "the truth is that he and his group excluded eight thousand Shabwani, who were the strength of the elite forces, which was witnessed by everyone near and far with good treatment, discipline and the elevation of authentic Shabwani morals in dealing with all people without discrimination and no question about their region."

He continued writing: As for the Emirates and the UAE army, they are still present in Shabwa from Balhaf for Al-Alam. They did not dare to shoot a single bullet ... They did not injure a single soldier ...

They did not capture a single individual.  They will neither do nor dare.

All the martyrs from Shabwa, all the wounded from Shabwa, the detainees are Shabwani ... and the persecuted from Shabwah. All the assassinations affected young men from Shabwah who were among the strength of the Shabwani elite ... and all those who were excluded from Shabwa.
